Who We Are
Region 3-A is a quasi-governmental regional planning commission serving six Northeast Indiana counties since 1969.
Mission & History
Serving the Region Since 1969
Region 3-A was established in 1969 as a regional planning commission under Indiana statute, with a mission to foster collaborative, data-driven decision-making across Northeast Indiana's six counties.
Over five decades, we have grown from a small planning body to a full-service technical assistance agency, administering millions of dollars in federal and state grants, producing comprehensive plans, and leading regional infrastructure initiatives.
Our staff of six planners brings expertise in economic development, community development, transportation, housing, and GIS, giving member communities access to professional planning capacity they could not otherwise afford.
Services
What We Do
Region 3-A provides technical assistance, grant administration, and planning services across four core program areas. Our work translates complex federal and state programs into real, community-level projects.
